Cake Smash

  • When should I book my session?

It is best to book as soon as possible as my calendar fills quickly and I only take a limited amount of sessions per month. You will also want the session to be about 3-4 weeks before their birthday so you have the pictures in time for the party.

  • Can I do an outdoor cake smash?

Yes! I offer outdoor cake smashes as well. Areas within Utah county are free. There is a small travel charge for other areas.

  • What if my child doesn't eat the cake?

This may happen. Some children love the cake smash and dig right in. Others are hesitant. I recommend making a cupcake or small cake and introducing the cake smash idea before (a few days/weeks before) our session date. This way, your child will be familiar with the process and will know that they can smash the cake. Also, bring or have on hand a small food your child is familiar with such as puffs or cheerios so we can stuff them into the cake. Often your child will want to grab them out of the cake and eat it.

  • Will I (mom or dad) get messy?

You most likely will. You will have to show your child that they can eat the cake so you might have to take a bite yourself. Yummy. Also, your child may stand up and walk or crawl around, so you will have to keep putting your child back into the designated space. You will likely get frosting on your clothes so don't wear anything you do not want to get ruined.

  • May I invite my family members to the session?

I really prefer only mom and dad, and like to keep the maximum family members at this session to the immediate family members only. Too many people trying to get your child to smile or talking, will distract your child, and often overwhelm them.

  • What forms of payment do you take?

I accept cash, check, or credit card.

  • Is there a referral program?

Yes, you will receive a $10 credit towards your next session for each person you refer that books a session and mentions your name.
